Solid State Electronic Structure Calculations Lab
SSESCLab is a theoretical Physics group in the Physics department at Sungkyunkwan University led by Prof. Youngkuk Kim. Our primary goal is to develop and apply theoretical methods for studies of quantum mechanical properties of solids, combining physics, mathematics, material science, and computer science. Current principal interest is in applying first-principles calculations to finding new topological phases and topological materials, two-dimensional materials, and energy materials. We are also interested in developing computational methods to address diverse issues of quantum mechanics and solid state physics.
Postdoc and Ph.D. positions are available.
